The challenge is simple. Write one page, double spaced, Times New Roman font, 12 point, with 1 inch margins all the way around. The one page short has to include the following characters, Julius Caesar and his girl friend. The setting and time can be anywhere you choose including dimensions not yet discovered. The girl friend can be anyone you choose — famous, infamous, or ???. The story can be a one page short or the opening to something longer. If you choose to make it an opening to a longer story you must have a hook, something that makes the reader want to turn the page. A title might be helpful but isn't necessary. DO NOT put your name on the paper and they will be collected at the next meeting. If you are out of the area and wish to enter the challenge, email me at dungeonpress@msn.com and I will post the entry. The current submissions are posted to the left. They are identified either by their title or parts of the first sentence in the submission. Comments can be posted at the Klamath Writers' Guild Forum: http://kwgforum.dungeonpress.com/phpBB2/index.php . We want to see if you can identify if the writer is male or female and why. Feel free to post any other comments you may have along with suggestions to help the author of the work. You will also be able to comment on other comments posted. Enjoy! William Huntsman |
